Welcome to Kairos

You can walk in without knowing the script.

Come as you are. Bring your questions, anxieties, fears, sins, and imperfections. Church is not a museum of saints, but a place where sinners can find grace in Jesus. At Kairos, we want you to find more than a service to attend. We want you to meet a family of God where people are known, loved, prayed for, and invited to follow Christ together.

We wholeheartedly believe that church is not a place to go to, but a family to belong to. That means you do not have to arrive polished. You can come honestly, and we will point one another to the mercy, truth, and hope of Jesus.

WE DON'T GO TO CHURCH.WE ARE THE CHURCH.

What to Expect on Sundays

A gathering centeredAround Jesus

Sunday is simple on purpose. We gather around the gospel, open the Bible, worship together, make room for families, and help people move from visiting to belonging in a spiritual family.

01

Warm Welcome

You will be greeted by people who are genuinely glad you came. We want your first visit to feel simple, personal, and unpressured.

Come early enough to grab coffee, meet a few people, and settle in without feeling rushed. Sunday is not meant to feel like walking into a closed room. It is a place to be welcomed, to ask questions, to share a conversation, and to begin getting to know the church family.

02

Biblical Message

The preaching opens Scripture, points to Jesus, and helps ordinary people follow Him with faithfulness in real life.

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, so the purpose of our gathering is to hear God speak through His Word. The message will open Scripture, point to Jesus, and call us to trust, worship, repent, and follow Him in ordinary life.

03

Heartfelt Worship

We sing, pray, and respond to God together with worship that is Christ-centered, congregational, and sincere.

Worship is our response to who God is and what He has done. We sing God's truth together, pray together, and respond to the gospel with gratitude, reverence, and joy. The goal is not performance, but a gathered church lifting its voice to Christ.

04

Authentic Fellowship

Sunday is a doorway into real relationships. Stay after the gathering, meet people, ask questions, and begin building community.

A church gathering is not a place to watch others perform. It is an invitation into lasting relationships, discipleship, prayer, and shared life. We want people to move from attending a service to being known and walking with others.

05

A Place for Families

Children are welcome at Kairos, and we are building a safe, joyful, gospel-centered environment that supports parents and families.

We want Kairos to be a place for the whole family, including children and youth. We are growing a church culture where parents are supported, kids are welcomed, and the next generation is invited to know Jesus, love Scripture, and belong to the church.

06

A Community to Belong

Kairos is not only a place to attend. We want to become a church family where people are known, loved, discipled, and sent.

We want to be a community invested in Sarasota and the people God has placed around us. Our hope is to declare and display the gospel in our city, serving neighbors, welcoming the spiritually weary, and helping people find life in Jesus.

Questions

Before you visit.

What time is the Sunday gathering?

Our Sunday gathering begins at 1:30 PM. We recommend arriving a little early so you can park, find your way in, and meet a few people before worship begins.

Where do you meet?

We currently gather at 7221 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota, FL 34241. We serve people from Sarasota, Venice, Nokomis, Osprey, and the surrounding Southwest Florida area.

What should I wear?

Come comfortable. You will see people dressed casually and others a little more dressed up. We care much more about welcoming you than what you are wearing.

What is worship like?

Our worship is contemporary, congregational, and Christ-centered. We sing together, pray together, hear Scripture, and respond to God with reverence and joy.

What about my kids?

We are developing a kids ministry shaped by safety, biblical teaching, joy, and family partnership. We want children to be cared for well and to hear the gospel clearly.

Do I need to be Slavic to attend?

No. Kairos Church SRQ is an English-speaking church open to all people. Many in our church come from Slavic backgrounds, but our desire is to be a gospel-centered church for our city.

Do I have to be a Christian to come?

No. Whether you are exploring Christianity, returning to church, new to faith, or simply curious, you are welcome to come, listen, ask questions, and meet people.
